  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently recruiting for an Digital Asset Management Systems Delivery Manager at Principal Consultant grade.  The objective of the role will be to support clients in their role as an Asset Steward.

     

    The successful candidate will be expected to be able to apply asset management principles across a range of infrastructure sectors such as; transport, waste, water, defence, health and housing. 

     

    The role will entail working closely with Infrastructure clients and IT vendors to support clients in the specification, configuration and implementation of a Digital Asset Management System.  In some cases, the successful candidate will work with clients to develop, design, procure and implement a Digital Asset Management System for the client or for the system to be provided by Wood as a managed service.

     

    The successful candidate will work alongside the Data Analytics team to undertake data driven analysis of client asset management objectives and ensure delivery of this analysis through a range of Digital Asset Management and/or Analytic Systems. 

     

    The role offers the opportunity to work across all service lines within Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions and connect with peer teams across the globe ensuring shared learning and development for the successful candidate.

     

    As a global multi-disciplinary consultancy, Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has a wide range of service agreements with major IT vendors in which the successful candidate can utilise in their role and focus their development with the company.

     

    Successful candidate will be based in London, but required to travel regionally and nationally as per role and project needs.

     

    Prime responsibilities for the role are:

    • Define asset information requirements from the client organisation’s information requirements
    • Define or optimise the client Asset Information Strategy (AIS) which is aligned to industry best practise and client’s Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP)
    • Develop a robust Digital Asset Register as per client requirements.
    • Specify and validate functional and technical requirements of Information Systems
    • Identify human factor implications of functional, technical and business requirements
    • Work with the client and/or Wood’s IT vendors and Digital Solutions teams to develop an acquisition and implementation plan for a Digital Asset Management System (provided by Wood as a managed service or through a commercial procurement)
    • Support in the implementation and integration of the Digital Asset Management System through the incorporation of the Digital Asset Register
    • Develop the criteria to effectively collect Asset Management data and support the client to interrogate and analyse this data
    • Develop supporting Decision Support Tools (DSTs) to enable optimised Asset Management decision making and agile strategic Asset Management planning capability for client

    Management Skills, Knowledge and Experience

     

    Essential

    • Previous experience of managing IT vendor relationships and service level agreements
    • Ability to engage and influence at all levels of stakeholder, both internally and externally
    • Able to establish clear client requirements, communicating plans effectively back to clients
    • Ability to deal well with ambiguity and new content in a very broad range of situations
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and contribute with a problem-solving, investigative and innovative skillset
    • Able to work at pace and under pressure
    • A strong communicator with keen observation skills and critical thinking ability

    Desirable

    • Experience in preparing bids for professional services

     

     

    Technical Skills, Knowledge and Experience

     

    Essential

    • Ability to define asset information strategies including standard/common definitions for asset attributes
    • Ability to specify and integrate asset management information systems, identifying and implementing functional and technical requirements
    • Ensure that verified and validated asset management information is readily available for decision making
    • Previous experience of working with industry standard systems such as from IBM, Oracle and SAP

    Desirable

    • Working knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM)
    • Working knowledge of Asset Management Standards – ISO 55000/1/2
    • Previous application of novel solutions within a client environment
    • Experience of working with startups and small/medium sized enterprises to bring novel IT solutions to market

     

    Qualifications and Accreditations

    • Bachelors degree with relevant Masters degree
