    Our nuclear business has offices in Knutsford and Birchwood in Cheshire, Gloucester, Dorchester, Harwell, Glasgow, Newcastle, Bristol, Cumbria, Reading and London.     Wood Nuclear are recruiting for a Business Quality Manager with experience of Quality Assurance Management Systems in the nuclear sector, or other similarly regulated industries. We are looking for


    • Knowledge of internationally recognised management system standards
    • Competence in auditing against these standards
    • Experience in implementing and coordinating improvement activities
    • A member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) and holding a Lead Auditor qualification. Excellent interpersonal skills with a “can do” attitude

    Skills / Qualifications


    • Act as Quality Manager advising an Operating Unit of Wood’s Nuclear Service Line
    • Define the Operating Unit internal audit programme, carry out audits and manage actions to completion
    • Support bidding activity
    • Provide valued reimbursable quality management services to projects and clients
    • Approve competency claims by Quality Engineers and other Quality Assurance and Control staff
    • Oversee quality aspects of supply chain management
    • Carry out quality inductions
    • Experience of the application of quality management systems including those on a nuclear licenced site
    • Knowledge of the use of ISO9001, OHSAS18001 and ISO14001.
    • IRCA Lead Auditor
    • Chartered Quality Professional, Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI)
    • Project and Technical knowledge relevant to nuclear projects
    • Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in teams

    To be based in Knutsford or Gloucester with some travel required to these and other locations
