  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for Engineering Manager.

    • Responsible for all technical aspects of the contract
    • Ensure implementation of the Wood Group technical assurance program on the project
    • Ensure appropriate and up to date project standards and procedures are in place throughout project delivery
    • Contribute in the development of the schedule and budget establishment for engineering
    • Promote an environment of teamwork to ensure adequate flow of information between engineering and other project team members
    • Oversee provision of sufficient and competent engineering resources to the project to meet schedule and scope of work
    • Oversee detailed review and approve general engineering documents including specifications, procedures, processes etc.
    • Check progress and performance of assigned personnel and advise contract manager of the required changes in project staffing at a contract level
    • Ensure technical lessons are captured and communicated to both the business unit and contract manager

    Skills / Qualifications

    • A minimum of a BS in Structural or Mechanical Engineering and good knowledge of discipline codes of practice, standards, and statutory documentation. Solid grasp of discipline engineering practices and techniques and competent in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting, and reporting of discipline projects
    • Familiar with ASME, EMEMPI, GS, design codes and standards
    • At least 15 years’ experience in Engineering with 5 years in a leadership position, preferably in an international organization with annual revenue of at least $10 Million USD in Upstream, Oil / Gas, Chemical / Petrochemical, Pipeline and Industrial engineering
