  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood (trading locally as PSNK) is currently looking for an Electrical & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer to join our team in Aktau (5/2). We are looking for candidates with the drive and commitment to make a genuine difference to our performance to ensure that the company continues to differentiate itself from competitors by delivering quality projects to our client’s requirements.

    The RIE Electrical Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the completion of all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities at the fabrication yard. This will include:


    • Compilation of RIE Electrical & Instrumentation Commissioning/Pre-Commissioning dossiers
    • Estimation of Commissioning/Pre- Commissioning task durations.
    • Sequencing of Commissioning/Pre- Commissioning activities into fabrication schedule
    • Attend Vendor FAT’s
    • Subsystem walk downs with fabrication team.
    • Acceptance of ITR A’ check sheets from the fabricator
    • Acceptance of sub-system Mechanical Completion Handover from the Fabricator
    • Acceptance of punch list items from fabricator
    • Execution of Pre-commissioning activities
    • Completion of ITR B check sheets
    • Prepare systems/sub-systems for Pre- Commissioning handover


    Skills / Qualifications

    • Technical qualification in relevant engineering subject.
    • 5-10 years experience in DCS / ESD systems Installations, construction and commissioning sites
    • Fully compliant with construction sites safe working practices and behaviours
    • Good communications skills in spoken and written English language.
