  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore) to be worked on Dubai Petroleum Enginering Services.


    The position is based in Dubai on single status basis for 3 months assignment with a possibility of an extension.


    Project Details

    RA Platform will be modified to incorporate a further 12 drilling slots by Q1 2019. In order to be ready for the drilling rig a significant deck extension is required to be installed.


    This will be a Brownfield project and limited hot work will be allowed on the platform.

    • Produce detail design calculations for bolted & welded connections
    • Carry out in-place and fatigue analyses using MicroSAS software
    • Detail drawing checking  
    • Preferaly candidates with experience

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum 10 years of experience (including at least 3 years on Brownfield projects
    • Experience in Brownfiled bolted connnection design
    • Significant experience using MicroSAS
    • Ability to work overtime (6 days) as required to meet project schedule
    • Ability to work with minimum supervision
    • Familiarity with structural codes and standards
