  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Amec Foster Wheeler has an opportunity for a Buyer. There is an increased demand to deliver our services for the growing Asian market. As a result of this, Procurement Dept. operation is expanding and evolving to manage the challenges of regional projects that continue to pose challenges in offering our services through a global talent pool.

    • Commit to and promote Amec Foster Wheeler’s values and ensure the realization of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures
    • Report to the Supply Chain Manager, the main functions of the role will be to issue Pre - qualification Questionnaire (PQ) to potential new suppliers
    • Prepare bidders lists with cognizance of Local Business Development
    • Prepare Enquiry Documents, Expedite Suppliers bids
    • Prepare Bid Opening and Commercial Bid Tabulation
    • Prepare Bid Evaluation, Negotiations and Final Bid Tab and Recommendation to Award
    • Prepare Formal Order Award for endorsement & Issue
    • Manage post award administration as appropriate, raise Purchase Order amendments and gain approval where required
    • Manage resolution of disputes, prepare resolution recommendation
    • Prepare supplier performance evaluation and formal Purchase Order close out
    • Mentor team members as required and directed
    • Conduct aligned duties as directed by Supply Chain Manager

    Skills / Qualifications

    • A demonstrable commitment to safety in the workplace
    • Demonstrable commercial experience in procurement or subcontracting of goods associated with the Oil & gas Industry, e.g. mechanical and electrical equipment, instrumentation, piping materials
    • Possess a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas Supply Chain Management
    • Knowledge of Bruneian market capability
    • Attention to detail, commitment to a “Right - First - Time” ethos
    • Good coordination, interpersonal and negotiation skills
    • Good written skills, ability to present data in a clear and concise manner
    • Highly motivated, well organized, resourceful and proactive
    • Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can - do attitude and a commitment to meeting and maintaining deadlines
    • Ability to promote an open and informal communication environment that aims at growing mutual trust and teamwork
