    Wood is currently recruiting for a Principal Process Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. The role will have a strong focus on executing brownfields projects as the focal point. This includes schedules, budget management and leading teams of process engineers. The role is responsible for leading teams to develop design assignments with the relevant detail required using or adapting established methods or systems and/or developing original methods.

     

    Position Specifics & Deliverables

    • Partner with the Lead Process Engineer to deliver a hands-on approach to engineering problem solving
    • Manage both internal and external key stakeholders
    • Process engineering services to the client, ranging from conceptual, front-end, detailed design, as-built and close-out activities for timely delivery of project deliverables according to approved schedules
    • Lead and complete a variety of complex process engineering computations, HYSYS simulation  modelling, prepare P&ID’s, PFD’s, heat and material balances, instruments and equipment data sheets, utilities and chemical summaries
    • Perform hydraulics and overpressure/blowdown calculations and participate in safety reviews

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Degree in Chemical Engineering
    • Extensive design engineering experience
    • Related experience within the Hydrocarbon industry and more specifically in the Onshore and Offshore Oil & Gas production industry
    • Proven experience in delivering projects and leading people
    • Ability to apply the theories, codes and standards appropriate to process discipline
    • Experience of participation in HAZOP, HAZID and SIL rating studies
    • Commissioning experience of offshore and/or onshore
    • Familiarity with HYSYS and Flarenet
