Wood are seeking a range of engineers with varying skill sets, from skilled and experienced professionals to driven early career candidates, to be based in our Bristol office. You will be working within an established yet growing team operating within Wood's Consultancy & Defence Business, supporting the Ministry of Defence Nuclear Submarine Programme and a growing portfolio of customers within the South West area.
These roles present many opportunities and provide a strong foundation for a rewarding initial or second career with the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and skill base in the defence, nuclear and consultancy fields.
About Wood Nuclear:
Wood’s nuclear business supports customers in the energy generation, new build, decommissioning and defence sectors.
Our nuclear business has offices in Knutsford and Birchwood in Cheshire, Gloucester, Dorchester, Harwell, Glasgow, Newcastle, Bristol, Cumbria, Reading and London. Our reputation for safely delivering quality projects on time and on budget is well recognised in the industries we serve. We have proven expertise in managing large, complex projects, a global reach and long-standing UK presence, strong relationships with our clients and cutting-edge processes and technologies.
What that means to you is the opportunity to experience a real variety of projects, working with people from different backgrounds. You'll work closely with our clients and committed to achieving outstanding results in a stimulating and quality-driven environment.
These roles enjoy a considerable degree of autonomy and would be ideal for a self-motivated engineer looking to apply their knowledge and experience in a variety of challenging and exciting applications. You will be expected to deliver with honesty and integrity, acting as an ambassador for both Wood and the client. Role responsibilities are varied depending on the task or client but will require technical and safety knowledge, consultancy skills, an ability to present with confidence, and experience in delivering projects to time, cost and performance. Wood supports the Ministry of Defence in a number of locations, and the successful candidate will need to be flexible to help deliver this scope of work.
