  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently bidding for project in Kazakhstan. If awarded the work, we will have a requirement for a Lead Cost/Scheduler Engineer to join the business on a 28/28 rotation. If you want to express your interest please apply and upload your updated CV.



    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


    • Prepare job packages and project schedules.
    • Update, monitor, and report project progress based on actual versus planned.
    • Provide Cost Engineering service to the contract with responsibility for the accurate Cost Reporting of complete projects or individual elements within major projects
    • Responsible for Expenditure Analysis / Reporting
    • Prepare and maintain project cost control structures
    • Monitor and report costs against Project Target Cost Estimates (TCEs)
    • Allocate costs to appropriate Cost Centres
    • Prepare project cost reports, Value of Work Done & monthly budget forecasts
    • Prepare project cost reconciliations (project escalations, variations)
    • Validate and approve subcontractor invoices
    • Manage and operate Brownfield Management Suite Systems
    • Responsible for Meetings, Reports & Communication
    • Contribute to the Monthly Cost Forecasting Meeting
    • Contribute to the Contract Commercial Meeting
    • Liaise with personnel at all levels within the Contract Services Team and within discrete Projects

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Degree or equivalent, ideally in an engineering discipline or where strong cost and commercial skills are included
    • Minimum 5years' similar experience in oil and gas related design, construction and implementation work in major projects
    • Familiar with standard software program, CPM network, and developing S-Curve Schedule, bar chart, and manpower histogram.
    • Cost control, planning, scheduling and reporting of oil and gas projects.
    • Experience in onshore/offshore projects in cold/remote regions is advantageous but not essential.
    • Oil and Gas engineering required, preferably brownfield.
    • A working knowledge of Conceptual, Front End and Detailed Design required.
    • Field experience in construction and commissioning strongly preferred.
