  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting a Planning Engineer with extensive experience in refinery and petrochemical facilities for preparation of work order request schedules, develop detailed schedules for approved work orders and provide regular progress reports to the Senior Project Engineer.


    • Ensure that accurate schedules are readily available for multidiscipline design work orders
    • Ensure that the work order schedules are realistic and include the relevant dependencies
    • Maintain up to date ESM department plans: resource plan, annual leave plan, etc.
    • Develop and maintain work order schedules
    • Allocate resources and prepare different resource graphs through P6
    • Liaise with ESM disciplines, incorporate discipline activities and interdisciplinary dependencies
    • Ensure that work order schedules are up to date and communicate deviations and changes against the baseline
    • Incorporate schedule input from other participating Wood offices
    • Prepare monthly progress reports for each work order in a timely manner
    • Attend schedule review and work order progress meetings

    Skills / Qualifications

    • BSc. Engineering Degree
    • Minimum 10 years' related work experience in total, 5 years explicitly petrochemical engineering planning
    • Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English
    • Proficiency in Primavera-P6 and MS Project
    • Advanced work knowledge in Excel and Power point
    • Excellent understanding of multidiscipline design and construction activities in oil refineries
    • Excellent in developing and maintaining the schedules
    • Competency in developing and maintaining WBC, resources / roles dictionary and resources / roles allocation
    • Excellency in analyzing CPM and associated risks, and utilizing the mitigation plan
