  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a HVAC engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

    • Execution of assigned HVAC works in accordance with applicable Project Procedures and Standards, including Wood and/or Client Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control.
    • Prepare Material/ Equipment Specifications, Equipment data sheet, functional Specification prepared.
    • Prepare and finish the drawings, calculation and PID for the below HVAC systems but not limited as below.
      • Air handling units system
      • Fan coil units system
      • Exhaust air system.
      • De-smoke system
    • Carry out the following design works as per project and leader engineer’s requirements:
      • Prepare and finish the write-up and drawings as per the requirements of PEP.
      • Prepare and finish all the documents and drawings according to local authorities’ requirement (for example, local authorities permitting and third party review).
      • Prepare and finish all the documents and drawings as the different design phase requirements.
      • Design description and general notes
      • Prepare and finish PIDs, duct work layout, HVAC piping layout, air inlet and outlet layout, equipment layout with dimension etc.
    • Prepare and finish the datasheet for below MR and not limited: air handling units; fans and air conditioners etc.
    • Perform activities such as – issue of Material Requisitions, Subcontract Requisitions and Technical Bid Evaluations as per relevant Technical Practices.
    • Prepare and finish the MTO for subcontract requisition.
    • Update and revise the related documents and drawings on time according to the requirements of construction.
    • Review Vendor Drawings and Documentation.
    • Carry out Proper Closeout of all project related work.
    • Attend internal Wood, Vendor and Client co-ordination meetings and engineering review meetings in order to establish full understanding of scope of supply/work as required.
    • Attend Quality Audits as required.
    • Update Progress Report for HVAC activities performed within the reporting timeline.


    Skills / Qualifications

    Bachelor Degree in HVAC Engineering with 5~8-year of experience in chemical/petrochemical Projects

    • Pharmaceutical projects experience preferred however it is not a mandatory requirement
    • Familiar with Chinese Codes and Standards
    • Knowledge of HVAC Equipment, packages and HVAC calculation Software
    • Good English communication and inter-personal skill.
    • Have medium or above grade certification of HVAC Engineer
