    Wood is recruiting for a Physical Security Lead to be based in Gloucester. This position is required to define, review and assess detailed technical specifications, designs and justification reports for integrated security systems, to include but not limited to:

    • Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) Systems
    • Pedestrian barriers (fences and gates)
    • Hostile Vehicle Mitigation Measures
    • Security Lighting
    • Alarms
    • Automated Access Control Systems
    • Vehicle Inspection and Vehicle Access Control Systems
    • CCTV/surveillance systems
    • Perimeter Intruder Detection Systems
    • Active Access Delay Systems

     

    Provide support to the following activities:

    • the production of the Client Technical Specifications and Project Delivery Manual,
    • develop understanding of the Technical Specifications with the supplier and review and assess the returned technical specifications and designs,
    • integration of activities across all work-streams and manage interfaces between designs and islands of activity.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Ability to assess the design against the success criteria for the component parts of an Integrated Protection System (IPS)
    • Assure the requirement through design, commissioning and acceptance into service. 
    • Demonstrable experience of leadership in a similar role, in a complex regulated environment (nuclear experience preferred, but not essential). 
    • Ability to articulate complex security concepts to non – technical audiences.
