    Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Analyst to join its team in Aberdeen.

    Wood’s Structural Integrity Management team is a centre of excellence for Structural Integrity Management & Advanced Analysis, with extensive experience of delivering projects on a worldwide basis.

     

    Due to increased workload and continuing expansion we are seeking to appoint a Senior Structural Analyst to join this highly respected, skilled, and motivated team.

    • Projects covering structural integrity management and advanced structural analysis of fixed and floating structures, structural engineering, concept and FEED studies, decommissioning
    • Develop strong client relationships, provide support to business development
    • Contribute to the development of our industry leading approach to Structural Integrity Management and Structural Analysis
    • Take responsibility for scope definition, scheduling, delivery and budget responsibility Detailed Description

    • Performing structural analysis of jackets, topsides, and floating assets
    • Supporting offshore operations, structural assurance, major projects, life extension, and decommissioning activities
    • Providing emergency response cover
    • Inplace analysis and code compliance assessments
    • Pushover, redundancy and boat impact analysis
    • Fatigue analysis, and dynamic analysis
    • Finite element analysis
    • Blast and fire analysis
    • Seismic analysis
    • Supporting wider group activities of Structural Integrity Management, Weight Control, and Decommissioning.
    • Maintain and develop client, and 3rd party relationships
    • Enhance your expertise in this field, maintain knowledge of industry trends and innovations
    • Assist in development of internal processes and  procedures
    • Scope definition, CTR preparation
    • Budget and delivery responsibility
    • Input to business development and the bidding process

     

    Skills / Qualifications

    Requirements

     

    • Related degree (M.Eng \ M.Sc \ P.hD)
    • Experience in industry standard analysis packages
    • Experience in Structural Analysis techniques
    • Sound understanding of structural behaviour
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of industry codes and standards
    • Strong desire to learn, innovate, contribute to group and own individual successHigh levels of proficiency in all or some of the following would be advantageous. SESAM, SACS, USFOS, ABAQUS and ANSYS.
