    Wood is currently recruiting for a Consultant or Senior Consultant Town Planner to join our growing team in Canary Wharf, London.

    Key Responsibilities 


    Key responsibilities in the roles will include managing multi-disciplinary technical teams, co-ordinating the submission of planning applications for a variety of schemes, and advising on the promotion of strategic land. You will assist in the preparation of planning application submission for a variety of schemes and carrying out research. You will work with colleagues to develop and maintain important client relations and you will provide planning advice to colleagues in other parts of the business. You will have the opportunity to win your own business and will play an important part in the continued growth of our team.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Town Planning
    • Full (or working towards) membership of the RTPI or RICS (relevant planning route)
    • Technical excellence in planning including planning applications and planning policy
    • Ideally previous private sector consultancy experience in the UK
    • Confident and persuasive with excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Excellent report writing skills to the professional standard expected
    • Ambition and ability to develop new client relationships and assist with the management of existing key clients
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Experience of business development and preparing fee proposals
    • Experience of contributing to multi-disciplinary projects
    • Full driving licence is desirable
