  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Amec Foster Wheeler is recruiting a Senior Accounts Payable to join our growing team in Brunei. The exciting project will run for at least five years, adopting our world class systems and making use of our extensive global expertise.

    • Verifying the accuracy of invoices and match to receiving support documents
    • Data entry of vendor invoices into system
    • Liaise with vendor and internal head of department on invoices related issue
    • Reconciles records with external vendors and actions to resolve discrepancies
    • Prepare invoices for payment including researching vendor numbers and reviewing invoices for completeness and accuracy as well as recognize when to escalate problem invoices to AP Supervisor or Finance Manager
    • Perform corrections as required for any misposted invoices in the AP system
    • Assist in providing other department on any A / P invoice or payment support retrieval request as required
    • Analyzes and prepares special reports as directed
    • Participate in determining proper accounting treatment of unusual transactions and corrections of errors
    • Ensure compliance of all accounts payable policies and controls
    • Other duties as assigned

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Experience with Oracle Accounting system would be an advantage
    • Holds a relevant professional body qualification (e.g. ACMA, ACA, ACCA, etc.) or a degree in Accounting
    • At least 5 years' experience working in similar role and in Oil and Gas Industry
    • Good people management experience
    • Strong Excel skills (Intermediate / Advanced)
