Wood is currently recruiting for a Planner with entry level experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.
This position supports the implementation of best project planning and scheduling practices in an assignment / project.
Provides all aspects of project planning and scheduling to the project team and Client in accordance with Wood procedures and Contract requirements.
Supports the Lead and Principal Planners in the management of the project planning team.
Responsible for personal safety and working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood HSE processes.
Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood Quality Assurance systems and processes.
Study and understand all relevant project documents pertaining to the preparation of plans and schedules.
Assist in the development and maintenance of planning control structures in alignment with approved project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
Assist in the development and maintenance of baseline project plans and schedules using appropriate scheduling software.
Monitor and control planning activities through all phases of project lifecycle. Work with all relevant project and discipline personnel to maintain awareness of project activities, their status, and their impact on the project schedule and manpower requirements.
Provide copies of project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements
Gather accurate progress and expended man hours information at relevant time intervals
Provide copies of project progress and performance status reports in accordance with project reporting requirements.
Produce and issue updates to project plans and schedules
Degree in relevant technical or business discipline or can be substituted by suitable industry experience.
Industry experience in with experience in a Project Controls planning positions.
Must have detailed knowledge of and familiarity with manual and computerised project planning and scheduling techniques
