  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood are currently recruiting a Lead Structural Engineer to join our Asset Support team within the Mining and Minerals division based in our Perth office.


    Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will supervise a team of discipline engineers and designers to ensure the delivery of fit for purpose design solutions to project requirements that comply with local laws and regulations, as well as industry and Company codes, standards and practices.


    Key duties:

    • Developing and presenting solutions to brownfields engineering issue, acting as an interface with the client
    • Produce and review engineering deliverables including models, drawings, calculations, specifications, reports and evaluations
    • Provide technical and commercial direction to engineers in relation to design quality, design schedules and budgets
    • Oversee design scope changes

    Skills / Qualifications

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Engineering degree from a recognised institution
    • Membership or eligibility for membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia
    • 10 years general engineering experience with recent experience in the mining and metals processing field.


    Candidates must have full working rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
