    Wood is recruiting for a Management Accountant, responsible for completing the monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting for Nuclear business/Functions.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the month end reporting process.
    • Review and prepare required adjustments to the final reported position in HFM
    • Preparation of variance analysis for the Nuclear flash meetings
    • Preparation of the functional cost reports for review and discussion with the functional Vice Presidents
    • Preparation of input into the monthly Finance pack for the Lead Team
    • Input into the month end balance sheet reconciliation / SOX process
    • Manage audit queries
    • Ad hoc analysis and query resolution
    • Budget & forecast model preparation by function
    • Support Vice Presidents in completion of the models
    • Review & challenge the submissions
    • Manage phased consolidation model for the Centre/Functions budget & forecast
    • Upload budget detail into HFM
    • Support Oracle implementation and continuous improvement process (including testing)
    • Support process improvements / reporting efficiencies
    • Primary contact for the shared services functions with respect to intercompany invoice coding and support on AP / expenses process as required.

     

     

    Skills / Qualifications

     

    • Newly qualified or part qualified accountant actively studying to qualify (ACCA / CIMA)
    • Strong system skills – Excel, MDAX (or similar) and HFM (or similar)
    • Strong communication skills
    • Excellent planning and organisational skills
    • Ability to prioritise workload to deliver results within timescales
    • The ability to work as part of a team
    • Attention to detail
    • Ownership and responsibility 
    • Ability to understand performance drivers 
    • Collaborative communication skills, interfacing with both financial and non-financial colleagues
