  • Overview / Responsibilities

     

    Wood has a professional requirement for a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to join our team in Darwin on a 3/1 FIFO roster with in Australia for an estimated 12 mths assignment.

    The successful engineer will be part of busy project team delivering start up, hand over, scoping and managing Instrumentation works on site for our client.

    Position Specifics & Deliverables

    • Responsible for planning, co-ordinating and directing a major segment or technical aspect of the engineering related activities within a project as required on site.
    • Proven experiences with LNG field instrumentation, transmitters, Control Valves, Actuators etc
    • Responsible for the on site Instrumentation start up and handover packages as advised by the client.
    • Assist client with Commissioning, walk down, TQ.
    • Must be familiar with relevant codes, client Design Specifications and procedures, and have a thorough working knowledge of the latest design and analytical techniques.

    Skills / Qualifications

    Skills /Qualifications

    • Degree in a relevant Instrumentation engineering discipline (B.Sc/ M.Sc/ B.Eng)
    • 10 years of post-graduate experience, with 5+ years in the LNG or petrochemical industry, including 3 years as Senior Engineer.
    • Capable of communicating and interfacing effectively with other disciplines, project managers, and clients’ representatives.
    • Experience with LNG Commissioning and Start Up, TQ, walk downs to handover to operations etc
    • Excellent knowledge of Field Instrumentation systems and shutdown PLC hardware and software design

    Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
