  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Field Works Coordinator from an Electrical & Instrumentation background to be based in Brooklyn with regular travel to Western Treatment Plant in Werribee and other Melbourne Water sewerage transfer sites. This role is a full-time permanent position.

     

    Responsibilities  

    • This role is to lead the field delivery of a program of E & I projects, the Field Works Coordinator is the major interface point for the Low Risk Capital projects team with respect to site execution
    • Supervision and coordination of Electrical site works
    • Responsible for the resourcing, coordination and supervision of contractors, subcontractors and work crews to achieve cost, time and quality outcomes
    • Liaise with Project Engineers for the scoping and delivery of Electrical works for the Melbourne Water Contract including assisting the PE/discipline engineers with work pack preparation.
    • Work across multi-disciplined teams to provide support to general electrical site works
    • Participate in the site maintenance and construction planning/co-ordination meetings. Assist planners to organise work into logical execution packages for maximising efficiencies
    • Provide input in deciding what work can be self-performed, subcontractor or campaign managed

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Strong Electrical trades background
    • Water industry experience
    • 10 – 15 years’ experience in construction and 3-5 years in a site supervisory or equivalent role
    • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively and provide positive influence in a construction environment
    • Demonstrated interpersonal and effective communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and provide and implement practical solutions
