  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join our team based at a Refinery in Melbourne on a 6-month contract basis. The sucessful candidate will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and directing a major segment or technical aspect of the electrical engineering related activities at the refinery.  Candidate must be familiar with relevant codes, client Design Specifications and procedures, and have a thorough working knowledge of the latest design and analytical techniques.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Degree in a electrical engineering and eligible for membership of an internationally accepted applicable professional Institute. e.g. IET, Engineers Australia
    • Should have over 5 years of post graduate experience
    • High technical competency and interest in a technical career path
    • Capable of communicating and interfacing effectively with other disciplines, project managers, and clients’ representatives
    • Experience with brownfield sites and operating facilities
    • A sense of pragmatism and ability to link technical recommendations with business acumen.

    Candidates must have full work rights in Australia to be considered for this role.
