  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Package Manager with extensive experience with package management of Compressors in the Oil and Gas Industry. This is a Melbourne based role and would act as the main client interface and manage a subcontractor to deliver a major compressor upgrade package to scope, cost and schedule. Experience with managing previous compressor projects and working with oil and gas service providers would be highly preferred.



    • Coordinate preparation of compressor package specifications and data sheets
    • Coordinate preparation material requisitions and delivery schedules
    • Liaise with vendors, perform technical inquiries, monitor order progress and expedite deliveries when necessary
    • Review vendor documentation for conformance to specifications 
    • Work with project managers, other discipline engineers, clients and vendors to resolve package issues on projects
    • Overall responsibility for the cost schedule and technical success of the package delivery to the project
    • Other duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Minimum of 10 years of EPC projects with relevant package management experience, familiar with machinery from suppliers such as GE, Solar, Siemens, Dresser Rand etc in the Oil and Gas Industry
    • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical engineering with minimum 5 years of relevant Rotating Equipment Design/Engineering experience
    • Excellent communication skills and familiar with international industry standards, practices & protocols. Conversant with International codes & standards (API, ASME ANSI, ISO), Specifications & Procedures, design criteria relevant to Rotating Equipment Engg, installation/ testing /commissioning etc
    • Demonstrated strong commitment to safety
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Ability to work well in cross-functional team environment
    • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, both written and oral in English
    • Ability to work to time constraints and meet tight deadline with limited supervision.
