Wood’s Environment & Infrastructure (E&IS) team provides a wide range of environmental and engineering services to both the municipal and industrial markets covering all aspects of water, wastewater and solid waste management and treatment.
We are looking to expand and develop our municipal water process engineering team; increasing its skill base in the provision of clean water process design. We wish to recruit a Subject Matter Expert (SME): Water Treatment in London, whom has a strong track record within the water sector. Reporting to the Regional Municipal Water Lead - South they will manage and develop the water treatment technical capability of the process team company-wide. You will also lead the technical capability strategy and supervise competency across project delivery within the municipal water process group.
The Technical Director will be an integral member of the Municipal Water team and work closely to design and deliver technical process solutions and outputs for various types of water facilities and infrastructure. They will form a key part of the national team tasked with developing and implementing a strategy to grow the water consultancy services and revenue in the UK.
Additionally, they will support the engineering and design delivery on a wide range of projects primarily producing and/or checking detailed process engineering deliverables. These deliverables will cover tenders, through to concept and detailed design and lead onto construction and commissioning support.
The workload is extremely varied and there may be opportunities to become involved in some challenging projects within several sectors.
