    Wood is accepting applications for Chemical Engineering Summer Student placements working within the Process Engineering Department starting in June 2019.

    As a Summer Student you will be involved in undertaking process design activities on Wood's current projects in the refining, chemical, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, GTL and LNG sectors.  


    You will typically be required to:

    • Work within the various Process Engineering design teams on Wood's current projects.
    • Undertake process design calculations for, hydraulics, equipment sizing and safety related devices, preparing Process Flow Diagrams, Equipment Specifications and other process documents.
    • Assist in the production of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams and other process drawings as required.
    • Assist the Lead Process Engineers in undertaking other non-technical tasks as directed, including tracking of comments on issued documents, updating progress measurement and schedule programs, recording actions in project review meetings.

    The positions will be expected to run for approximately 3 months over the Summer.

    Skills / Qualifications

    • In order to be considered for this role, you must currently be studying an IChemE accredited Masters Chemical Engineering degree.
