    Wood is currently recruiting for a contractor to provide maintenance scheduling services for a period of 3 months based in the North West, UK. We require extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry, particularly within the onshore sector. 

     

     

    Workscope

     

    The Maintenance Scheduler has the primary responsibility to lead the Asset Scheduling Team. To allocate and optimize Infrastructure assets, control the movement of Substances and Products via the Infrastructure facilities and develop a scheduling plan to deliver the most efficient terminal operations and meet customer expectations. At the same time, the Scheduler must maintain focus tracking asset availability, planning asset outages, benchmarking asset utilization, maintaining performance data on demurrage to support its
    customers’ demands and maximise revenue.

     

    The Scheduling Team has the primary responsibility to allocate and optimize Infrastructure assets, control the movement of Substances and Products via the Infrastructure facilities and develop a scheduling plan to deliver the most efficient terminal operations and meet customer expectations.

     

     

    Detailed services to be provided

    • Leading the Scheduling workscope
      Develop, optimise and execute an evolving and robust infrastructure scheduling plan
    • Interface with all terminal customers (EOUK and 3rd Party) while optimizing allocation of assets, monitoring facility usage and developing the scheduling plan that meets the requirements of all the terminals customers
    • The schedules generated must fulfil customer requirements and demonstrate optimized use of Infrastructure assets
    • Change plans to meet customer inputs
    • Schedules the arrival and delivery of crudes and feedstocks to ensure their availability in the necessary quantities and qualities to meet customer commitments and product
    • Takes proactive actions to communicate the effects of the early or late arrival of shipments
    • Schedules the import and export of products to ensure their availability to meet customer commitments
    • Ensures that the day-to-day orders (blend matrices) and instructions to the oil movements are prepared in conformance with the customer inputs
    • Ensures right products delivery at the right time to minimise delays & reduce incidental costs e.g. demurrage costs.
    • Performs the daily task of quantifying and analysing discrepancies between schedules and actual performance, tracking asset utilization, planning asset outages, benchmarking asset utilization, maintaining performance data on demurrage to support its customers’ demands and maximise revenue. Analyses and communicates results to the responsible parties to take necessary corrective actions
    • Applies consistently INFRA Scheduling processes and follows Quality Incident reporting procedures
    • Coordinates and implements corrective actions to mitigate impact of unplanned disruptions
      Contributes to the planning of future Infrastructure turnaround activities

     

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Relevant experience in refinery planning, terminal oil movements or supply, distribution and commercial marketing is an advantage
    • Highly developed numerical and technical aptitude
    • Specific knowledge of scheduling tools will be essential
    • Ability to make decisions based on incomplete and changing information and work under pressure
    • Strong leadership, influencing, communication, negotiation and team working skills, including an ability to deal cross-functionally and with senior management
