    Wood is seeking an Operations Leader, Engineering for the business in Vancouver, B.C.. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong business acumen and leadership skills, who will be responsible for driving the business, delighting our customers with flawless execution, and delivering predictable financial outcomes. The successful candidate will lead a multi-discipline engineering operation to ensure all aspects of the business are focused on delivering excellence for our customers.     Key Responsibilities:

    • Leading operations for profitable growth, while also developing leaders, engaging staff, and ensuring client satisfaction.
    • Overseeing the development and implementation of a strategic growth plan
    • Taking responsibility for successful pursuit of and execution of proposals, and projects.
    • Managing staff to ensure safe, cost effective, efficient and timely completion of projects to meet and/or exceed client expectations
    • Developing and maintaining communication channels with new and existing clients, stake holders, and internal personnel to ensure that work flows smoothly
    • Mentoring and training personnel to groom individuals to become better prepared to take on additional roles and responsibilities

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Engineering from a recognized university. MBA or related Master’s degree, considered an asset
    • Minimum of five years and a proven track record in an engineering operational leadership role, or sales role required
    • Will demonstrate: Closing Skills, Motivation for Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Selling to Customer Needs, Territory Management, Market Knowledge, Presentation Skills, High Energy Level, Meeting Sales Goals, Professionalism.
    • Excellent organizational skills, with emphasis on priorities and goal setting
    • Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal,
    • Ability to communicate information, whether technical or non-technical to staff members and customers, in a clear and concise manner
    • Ability to grasp and communicate all aspects of the projects being managed to customers and internal stakeholders
    • A willingness to travel, both domestic and internationally, for varying durations and at times to remote locations - Travel is not expected to exceed 30%.
    • Must be eligible to work in Canada.
