Wood’s Asset Integrity Solutions service line has established a truly global Vibration, Dynamics and Noise (VDN) capability. Encompassing 200+ engineering specialists in 11 offices worldwide, the VDN team work closely to help our customers meet their reliability, integrity and operational performance goals.
Wood VDN provide engineering solutions and services that improve machinery and piping system reliability and assist our Oil & Gas, Mining and Utilities clients to achieve optimal and safe production.
Currently we have an immediate opening for a lab/instrument technician to join the VDN team based in our Glasgow office. This position will report to the Field Engineering, Machinery Analysis and Noise team leads.
Support our engineers in quantifying and solving complex piping, noise and machinery problems by managing and maintaining our state of the art field measurement equipment.
Utilise your problem solving skills to aid in the specification of measuring equipment for use at petrochemical and industrial sites on and offshore.
The successful well organised candidate will be a technically adept team player. You will have the opportunity to develop your technical skills and understanding of the measurement of dynamic machinery and piping behaviour under the direct mentorship of our professional engineers.
Business & Indusrty Experience:
Previous experience working in process industries (in the UK and overseas) is desirable
