  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a Project Quality Assurance Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the project quality management programme as defined in Project Delivery Baseline & the project QA plan is implemented and complied with i.e. PEP and Wood standards / procedures

    • Liaising with the Client’s QA representative and to undertake joint audits as required
    • To manage an integrated programme of internal project audits and ensure audits are completed in accordance with planned arrangements and specified KPIs
    • To manage audit findings to ensure corrective and preventive actions are logged, actioned and closed and root cause established
    • To monitor and report project specific KPIs
    • To provide proactive support to the project team to identify project work processes which need to be brought under control
    • To provide support to the project team to develop fit-for-purpose QA controls to manage project specific work processes i.e. project instruction, process map, procedure etc
    • To provide support to the Project Manager in terms of applying quality management and continual improvement techniques to address specific areas of concerns i.e. workshops etc
    • Promote the use of Wood’s continual improvement tools
    • Ensuring the Project Web Site is maintained up-to-date and promote its use across the project team
    • Supporting the HSSEA Manager with quality and continuous improvement initiatives to be rolled out on the project
    • Facilitating project lessons learned workshops and to assist in capturing key lessons for future projects

     

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Degree / HNC qualified in an engineering subject sector experience
    • Chartered Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) preferred
    • Excellent knowledge of management systems
    • IRCA ISO 9001 trained lead auditor
    • Able to apply quality tools and techniques
    • Good knowledge of project quality management systems
    • Posses good presentation skills and be able to market the benefits of quality to all stakeholders
