  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently seeking a Manger – Piping to join the Mining and Minerals team based in our Perth office.


    Reporting to the Technical Director, Engineering, you will manage the piping engineering section to ensure that output is in accordance with project time, budget and client requirements and in addition to company and legislative standards.


    Key duties:

    • Accountable for production and/or review of engineering deliverables including models, drawings, calculations, specifications, reports and evaluations.
    • Input to capital estimates including quantity calculations.
    • Oversee design scope changes.
    • Act as the key link between the project team and the engineering discipline group.
    • Provide technical and commercial direction to engineers in relation to design quality, schedules and budgets.

    Skills / Qualifications

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • Bachelor Engineering from a recognised institution
    • Membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia and working towards a Chartered Engineering qualification
    • 20+ years general engineering experience with at least 10 years in the mining and metals processing field
    • Understanding of Australian and common International standards and regulatory authority requirements in the mining and minerals processing sector
