  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently seeking to recruit a Document Control Specialist (Spares Admin) to join our Al Zour team in Kuwait.

    In this role you will be supporting the coordination and administration of SPIR forms. Reporting to the Core Team Spares Coordinator and / or his nominated deputy, activities will include but not be limited to the following:

     

    • Maintain and track SPIR Documents through the SPIR log
    • SPIR Review Reporting
    • Review and checking of documentation
    • Present and file documents and drawings
    • Maintain hard copy information as required
    • Issue and distribute controlled copies of information and data
    • Ensure all documents are as up to date as possible within electronic filing systems
    • To read, understand and implement the Company Safety Policy and the arrangements described in the Company and area Safety Management System document
    • Other similar duties may be assigned from time to time to meet with project demands and requirements

    Skills / Qualifications

    • High School or above
    • Minimum 5 years industrial experience
    • 3 years’ experience in similar position
    • Track record of 3 years
    • Must have handled Document Controls activities for large - size refinery or petrochemical projects of value not less than US $ 500 Million
    • Strong database and communication skills
    • Experience with document control packages
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and a professional telephone manner
    • Utilizing a range of office software, including email, spreadsheets and databases
    • A comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations
    • Ability to evaluate, prioritize, organize and delegate work schedules
    • Proven decision making skills
    • Able to react quickly and effectively when dealing with challenging situations
    • Assisting departments with queries on documentation requirements & submissions
