  • Overview / Responsibilities

    Wood is currently recruiting for a E&I QA Engineer with extensive experience in the nuclear industry.


    • Supporting the Project Quality Control Manager.
    • Responsible for Integrated Management System maintainance and upkeep activities, particularly with regard to Construction & Commissioning, to reflect continuous improvement and learning from experience.
    • To review, approve, monitor and endorse as appropriate, Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans; undertaking associated compliance verification activities as appropriate.
    • Produce weekly report providing information relating to assigned Procurement packages and system (STC) handover.
    • Understand and implement the processes necessary to provide the appropriate Quality support to constructiona and commissioning activities on site.
    • Assist and or conduct Quality audits of the site activities and sub-contractor operations on site, and off site as directed, in accordance with the Project Audit Schedule.
    • Ensure the Quality standards of the project are consistently met, raising Performance Improvement notices (NCR’s) where appropriate and close out any actions in a timely manner
    • Undertake the identification, review, checks and endorsement of Project Life Time Records (LTR).
    • Attend progress meetings and identify,capture and discuss any Learning from experience (LfE)
    • Deliver and champion Nuclear Safety

    Skills / Qualifications

    • Experience of working within a highly regulated environment, with major project delivery
    • Nuclear Industry experience and training
    • Experience of major project delivery and an electrical background
    • Member of the Chartered Quality Institute
    • Lead Auditor (IRCA Accredited) qualification as a minimum.
