  • Overview / Responsibilities

    The main purpose of this role will be to provide integrity engineering services to the Wood Client base for subsea system, Topside and plant. The role will be based within the Wood Office in Stavanger, Norway or as a seconded role based in clients or project team offices and will require infrequent site/offshore visits. Typical work scopes included within the remit of the Senior Integrity Engineer are:

    • Familiar with Subsea and process plant systems and associated threats and inspection. Other industry IM engineer with relevant skills in Mechanical or Material engineering will be considered
    • Assessing the results of survey, inspection, testing and monitoring activities, preparing anomaly assessment records and making recommendations to ensure continuing fitness for service.
    • Undertaking Fitness for Service and Risk Based Inspection Assessments.
    • Undertaking Life Extension assessments.
    • Developing asset Integrity Management (IM) documentation
    • Supporting a range of clients to assess ongoing operational threats and manage risks in cluding Inspection campaign.
    • Experience in IMR offshore campaign is a plus
    • Keep up to date with relevant codes and standards that affect integrity engineering for design and operational purposes in Norwegian Continental shell and abroad when required
    • Familiar with inspection and NDE techniques, PI and Coresight tools

     

     

     

     

     

    Skills / Qualifications

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Capacity to understand complex problems and work collaboratively to identify practical and technically sound solutions.
    • communicate effectively with others on technical issues
    • Writing, checking and issuing of integrity management documents
    • Assist in developing the knowledge and skills of the IM staff, including assisting on job training
    • Establish and implement all necessary project plans as required by the QMS
    • Correctly adheres to the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies
    • Competent User of Microsoft Office and familiarity with fitness for service assessment software.
    • Proactively initiates continuous improvements within project and IM department
    • Comfortable working in a dynamic and changing environment
    • Good communicator both written and verbal in English. Verbal Norwegian is a plus
    • Commercial Awareness (e.g. client’s needs, interaction with client, etc.)
    • Any other relevant duties as required
    • Team player with good interpersonal skills
    • Lead and coordinate projects scope as required

    Experience/Qualifications:

    • Master Degree in engineering (mechanical, Material)
    • Experience in a similar role preferred
    • Previous experience in Oil & Gas Industry is a plus
    • Programming in Visual basic or other Programing language is a plus
