You will also be prepared to take a role in the leadership and development of the Historic Environment team, and as part of this will be likely to take on staff management and mentoring roles.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the continued success and growth of a reputable and successful team, who contribute to a wide range of high-profile projects across Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solution’s business. Building on a strong academic background, you will be responsible for providing support to the Historic Environment team in terms of delivering environmental consultancy services to a full range of UK-based and International clients. You will also be working closely with other members of Wood’s Environmental Appraisal Team and with the Built Environment Team.  Whilst the role will be UK-focussed, there may be opportunities for international work.

Subject to the preferences of a successful candidate it is likely that this role could be based in one of our offices in Shrewsbury, Leamington or Reading.

A degree in a conservation related discipline (Archaeology or Heritage/Architectural/Building conservation).

You will be educated to degree level and have a sound background in British history or archaeology and an in depth knowledge of heritage conservation policy and practice, likely to have been gained from commercial experience.
