  • Overview / Responsibilities


    Wood is currently recruiting for an Offshore Roustabout with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry.


    Will only consider Equatorial Guinean candidates


    •         Assists in the operation and maintenance of oil and gas production facilities under general supervision in a                 manner consistent with regulatory and environmental rules, regulations, and testing procedures
    • ·      Basic understanding of how to safely operate hand and power tools associated with Industrial Piping                           construction
    •        Ability to work and communicate professionally with co-workers using clear and effective written and verbal                 skills
    •        Basic understanding of piping bolt-up, an understanding of torque valves and follow company torqueing                       procedure and an understanding of hand and pneumatic torqueing equipment.
    •        Ability to live and function appropriately on an offshore facility, working a rotational schedule in a tropical                     environment
    •        Must lead by example and promote safety polices, practices and a safe work culture while on the job.
    •        Ability to work at heights (Scaffolding, etc.)
    •        Ability to take direction and adapt to changing priorities in a challenging environment


    Skills / Qualifications

    Technical / Business Skills:

    (e.g. Project Management Methodologies, Negotiating Terms & Conditions, Cost Models etc)

    ·         Mechanical aptitude

    ·         Basic math skills

    ·         Basic knowledge of common hand tools

    ·         Complete Rigging & Lifting Certification


    Interpersonal Skills:

    (e.g. oral & written communication, customer liaison, team player, etc)

    ·         Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and personal                   hygiene

    ·         Good English language communication skills

    ·         Must work well in a Team environment

    ·         Follow directions well



    (e.g. Core Behaviours, Transferable Competencies & Role Based Competencies)

    ·         Under close supervision, assists in Operation and                Maintenance tasks for oil and gas production facilities

    ·         Performs other duties as requested

    ·         Clean, paint and maintain facilities

    ·         Performs and Assists with crane rigging                                operations and Completes work in a manner                        consistent with EHS policies and procedures  and                Participates as appropriate with other personnel to                promote safety and optimize operating efficiency


    Business & Industry Experience: (e.g. significant experience in process engineering, offshore role etc)

    ·         No prior offshore experience required

    ·         Previous maintenance experience is desired

    Educational Attainments:

    (e.g. Trade Qualifications, Degree, etc)


    ·         High School Diploma, GCE-A Level, or equivalent

    ·         Complete Rigging & Lifting Certification
