    Amec Foster Wheeler has an opportunity for one local position of Assistant QA Engineer. There is an increased demand to deliver our services for the growing Asian market. As a result of this, the Quality Management Function is expanding and evolving to manage the challenges of regional projects that continue to pose challenges in offering our services through a global talent pool.

     

    Job Description: 

    • Commitment to and promotion of Amec Foster Wheeler’s values and ensuring the realization of Company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics, systems, policies and procedures
    • Reporting to the QA Engineer & QAQC Manager: the main functions of the role will be assisting to ensure that Quality Management System is implementing in the Company organizations
    • Assist to perform all daily inspection and test of the scope and character necessary to achieve the quality of construction required in the drawings and specifications for all works under the contract performed ON or OFF site
    • Assist to carry out inspection and checking for all quality related procedures in the site and ensures activity at the site are as per approved method statement and inspection test plan
    • Assist to coordinate with the BSP QAQC and BSP Technical Authority for inspection and meeting about quality problems including the closure of Non - Compliance Report
    • Report to the QA Engineer & QAQC Manager, control, and monitor all activities related to Quality Management System
    • Taking care of QAQC documents of the entire project including certificates, calibration, test results, inspection requests, non - compliance reports and site instruction / observations, permanent materials delivered and other QAQC documents
    • Responsible for the closure of Non - conformance, NCR, QOC, FPD Report and Technical Query
    • Responsible for the quality and workmanship of every activity, thorough knowledge of all phases of engineering construction relating to Piping, Pipeline / Riser, Welding, Painting / Coatings and Structural discipline interfacing the multidisciplinary operations
    • Assist to develop method statement for the activity including risk assessment and job safety environmental analysis and Inspection Test Plan and Checklist based on BSP specifications
    • Assist to carry out Internal Audit as scheduled in the Project Audit Plan and issue the audit report to management, client, vendor and subcontractor
    • Assist to liaise the BSP QAQC and BSP Technical Authority for submission of project quality documentations
    • Assist to provide weekly input to the QA / QC reporting system, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems
    • Assist to provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non - conformances are identified, tracked and closed
    • Provide expertise to site team to avoid / resolve quality problems
    • Conduct aligned duties as directed by QA Engineer & QAQC Manager

    Skills / Qualifications

    Personal Requirements:

    • A demonstrable commitment to safety in the workplace; leading by example
    • Demonstrable knowledge of Oil & Gas industry in QMS auditing and reporting systems
    • Possess a minimum of 3 years in the oil and gas industry in QA and auditing
    • Attention to detail, commitment to a “Right - First - Time” ethos
    • Good coordination, interpersonal skills
    • Good written skills, ability to present data in a clear and concise manner
    • Self - motivating, well organized, resourceful and proactive
    • Flexible approach and able to work under pressure with a can - do attitude and a commitment to meeting and maintaining compliance

    Competence:

    • Level Academic Qualification
    • Certified Internal Auditor
    • Computer literate in MS Word, XL, and MS Power point
