Wood’s Environment & Infrastructure Solutions UK team provides a wide range of environmental and engineering services to both the municipal and industrial markets covering all aspects of water, wastewater and solid waste management and treatment.
As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our team based in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to play an important role in our growing team. We are looking for experience in the implementation of the design of waste infrastructure projects and to play a key role in delivering our increasing workload in this area. The successful candidate will be deployed in a large civil team delivering a Multimillion pound project for Waste Infrastructure in North of London.
This position will perform a broad range of planning and design tasks for utilities design, including water and wastewater treatment, sewer diversions, water and sewerage networks and diversions, gas supply, drainage.
As a Principal Engineer, you will be responsible for a range of stimulating and challenging assignments including but not limited to:
Skills / Experience
We are looking for enthusiastic engineers with a flexible approach and an ability to learn in a leading global consultancy. You will be highly numerate, have excellent communication skills, enjoy working in a collaborative environment and can apply your skills whilst working with a diverse range of clients and projects.
An aptitude towards following will be advantageous:
BEng/MEng Civil Engineering is required. Full Member of Professional Institution (ICE). Chartered Member
Civil Engineering related work experience in a similar role is essential
Utilities design experience is essential
Proficiency in AutoCAD is an advantage but not essential
Proficiency in Civil 3D an advantage but not essential
Proficiency in Revit is an advantage but not essential
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint is required
Experience in Microsoft Project an advantage but not essential
Easy to communicate and coordinate with Stakeholders (Environmental Agency, Planning Authorities, DNO…)
