Key Responsibilities:
- Support & collaborate with EMSIL P&GA team on community engagement, community investment, local content and communication requirements (concerning issues, accidents or emergencies.)
- Provide advice and guidance on WQ1 related socioeconomic issues to management and lead the socioeconomic team in daily SE practices.
- Provide input on environmental and socioeconomic issues for risk assessments, impact assessment, baselines and prepare recommendations for mitigation measures.
- Advise and communicate socioeconomic goals and objectives to general management team, ensure implementation of socioeconomic mitigations, provide guidance on contract terminology and terms relative to socioeconomic and national content objectives, steward community investment initiatives and assist with managing other socioeconomic related issues.
- Ensure implementation and management of all socioeconomic plans and procedures (e.g. grievance mgmt. plan, land, strategic community investments, national content plan) associated with WQI.
- Provide oversight and mentoring of the FOD socioeconomic production and community investment liaisons.
- Ensure implementation and management of all socioeconomic-related plans and procedures as they pertain to contractors and suppliers; assist Socioeconomic team with communication and coordination of socioeconomic aspects across all field activities.
- Conduct necessary education and training support for all contractor and suppliers on policies and procedures pertaining to national content, stakeholder engagement, community investment, grievance management, cultural and archeological heritage, and land acquisition issues.
- Conduct regular meetings with and audits of contractors and suppliers to ensure they are meeting specific socioeconomic goals and objectives.
- Provide reporting on and/or mitigate field incidents (protests/jobs demands) in coordination with Security.

Wood is currently hiring a Senior Cost Controller to provide all aspects of project cost control, cost forecasting and cost reporting to the project team and Client in accordance with Wood procedures, and to support the Lead & Principal Cost Controllers in the management, guidance and supervision of the project Cost team.
- Responsible for personal safety and working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood HSE processes.
- Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood Quality Assurance systems and processes.
- Act as Cost Focal Point for specific project scopes as required
- Develop and maintain Project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) for specific scopes.
- Develop project budget in accordance with project estimate and CTR Catalogue.
- Manage the project work approval process in terms of accurate cost code allocation and initial budget set-up and approvals.
- Develop and maintain project cost plans using appropriate software applications
- Monitor and control cost commitments and expenditures through all phases of project lifecycle.
- Liaise with project management, project planning, and others as required to ensure accuracy in project cost phasing and forecasting.
- Liaise with procurement, finance and time-capture functions, and third parties as required, to ensure accurate and timely capture of procurement, materials, subcontract and labour
- manhour costs. Ensure costs are allocated accurately in accordance with approved project WBS.
- Liaise with engineering, procurement and construction functions, and others as required, to maintain awareness of project activities and their impact on the project budget, schedule and cost forecast.
- Provide copies of project cost performance reports in accordance with project reporting requirements
- Produce and issue updates to project cost forecasts
- Monitor and report on cost impact of project manpower forecasts
- Coordinate development and issue of project change orders / variations in accordance with engineering and construction change notifications
- Assess and communicate cost and schedule impact of change notifications.
- Monitor cost impact of achievement / non-achievement of major project milestones.
- Monitor overall project cost performance and contingency drawdown.
- Attend project / client meetings and present project cost performance status as required.
- Assist manage the project cost close-out process.
- Delegate and manage the work of subordinate project controls staff as required
- Liaise with Planning discipline to ensure accurate and timely control and forecasting of budgets and ensure that the impact of all change requests are properly assessed and included in the schedules.
- Participate in cost & estimate risk analysis sessions as required
- Assist with audits to ensure compliance with relevant Wood Cost procedures
- Provide guidance and support to subordinate project controls staff as required
Performance Indicators
- Projects within the contract are to be set up in accordance with relevant WBS/CBS methodologies for that contract.
- Budgets shall correspond in structure and monetary value to submitted estimates.
- Original and current budgets shall correspond to approved estimates plus approved scope changes through the project life cycle.
- Attend project meetings including key project review meetings.
- Updates to be issued in a timely manner. Cost reports to be accurate within the bounds of the cost system.
- Trends in cost performance of projects to be followed both individually and across the contract.
- Projects shall be reported accurately and with sufficient detail to enable management intervention if required.
- Project or contract issues shall be highlighted in a timely manner.
- Project reports shall be issued in accordance with the contract reporting calendar.
- Scope and design development change orders shall be correctly identified.
- Change orders shall be tracked and correct submittal and approval dates to be entered in tracking system.
- Change order status shall be adjusted within cost reporting system as change orders submitted and approved.

Wood is currently hiring a Lead Estimator to provide all aspects of estimating support to the Wood project team and client ensuring that estimating systems, procedures and work practices are maintained. To ensure that the development of all project cost estimates are documented and auditable and that the operations estimating norms and estimating data is maintained and issued in a controlled manner. This may be provided within a deployed project context or as part of the central project controls team supporting the overall operation.
Key Accountabitlities:
- Responsible for personal safety and working within the provisions and guidelines of the Wood HSE processes.

- Management, leadership and development of the project estimating team in terms of delegating work, reviewing the work output of the team and providing guidance and support.

- Attend Cost Estimate Kick-Off Meetings to obtain thorough understanding of Scope of Work and cost estimate requirements.
- Ensure cost estimates are prepared in accordance with Wood Cost Estimating Procedures and guidelines.Promote the use of standard estimating systems, procedures and work methods.
- Develop and issue to relevant parties for approval / comment the Basis of Estimate for each project or proposal cost estimate to be developed.
- Develop and maintain project and proposal cost estimates in accordance with the basis of estimate, including statements of work scope, man-hour estimates, narratives, and review/comment on client documents.
- Facilitate / chair / participate in internal project cost estimate reviews and operations & cost reviews, coordinate comments and obtain estimate sign-off approval from relevant parties.
- Deliver presentations of reviewed estimates to Wood management for approval and to client as required.
- Produce and issue updates to project / proposal cost estimates in a controlled manner
- Liaise with project cost control and planning to ensure project budgets are developed to reflect the structure and content of the approved project cost estimate.
- Liaise with proposals, engineering, procurement, subcontract and construction functions, HR, finance and others functions as required, to maintain awareness of the requirements and costs of labour, plant and equipment, materials, subcontracts, offices, IT, and other provisions, to ensure these are accurately reflected in the project / proposal cost estimate.
- Ensure the corporate risk process is applied to project / proposal cost estimates as required
- Accountable for the formal filing of project and proposal estimates, the collection of project historical data and the continuous update of estimating databases and norms in a controlled manner.
- Establish and maintain a structured training and career advancement programme, for Estimating personnel.
- Investigate specific project problems when requested by the project or other management directives.
- Coordinate development and issue of project change orders / variations in accordance with engineering and construction change notifications

Performance Indicators
- Internal review of estimates by Project Controls Manager shall ensure guidelines are met
- Contract Manager feedback to be sought on timeliness of estimates taking into account restrictions imposed by resource limitations and documentation provided by stakeholders.
- Internal project review to verify the Basis of Estimate is documented.
- Estimate shall be submitted with all substantiating documentation.
- All estimates to be signed off by the authorised parties.
- Contribute to estimation of project change notices where required.
- Minimal rework shall be required to replicate cost estimate in cost control system.
- Current contract manhour rates shall reflected in estimates.
- A database of current materials and fabrication prices shall be maintained so as to reflect the latest market conditions for the location where the work will be performed.
- A contingency risk analysis shall be conducted as specified in the estimating procedure. • All estimates shall have a project number issued through DCC and clearly displayed.
- Review performance of projects in terms of actual hours and quantities versus estimated hours and quantities and recommend changes to norms as required.
- Scope and design development change orders shall be correctly identified.
- Change orders shall be tracked and correct submittal and approval dates to be entered in tracking system.
